Happy New Year! We really appreciate everyone that came to our first ever dance at the AVI casino in November – they loved us and we all had a great time! We are really excited about all the great things that have been going on with our Club, and are really looking forward to all our upcoming events. Please note some changes on the flyers for our dances – we now have cuers for all of our upcoming dances, and Nancy Mouser will be doing round dance classes from 3:30 to 5:30 on most of our dance nights (call for specific info if you’re interested in attending).

Now that we are past the holiday season, things will be getting even busier here. On January 9th, our class will be celebrating their Halfway Hoedown with Club Caller Mike Wilder. We are hoping that many of you will bring your classes to help us celebrate this significant milestone with us. Remember, the Kut-Ups welcomes new dancers to ALL CLUB DANCES from this point forward. We will alternate class level/plus level tips until graduation in May – then we return to our normal MS/plus alternating tips.

On January 23rd we will have our Snowball Dance with Francois Lamoureaux calling and Nancy Mouser cueing.

On February 13th, Mike will be calling our Sweetheart Ball with Nancy Mouser cueing. On February 27th we will be hosting our “Hobo Dance” as a We Dance For Food dance. We ask everyone to bring non-perishable food to this dance for donation to the Senior Nutrition Center. Our caller for this night is Monty Montgomery (29 Palms, CA) and our cuer will be Carolyn Cook.

We will be hosting a special Running Bear Badge Dance on March 13th with Mike Wilder calling, and Carolyn Cook cueing. On March 27th Dale Dockery calls our “Let The Winds Blow (While We Rock & Roll)” dance. Nancy Mouser will be cueing.

Shortly after this, many of our dancers will be taking off to Hawaii with Mike, Dale, Carrie & Chuck Weiss (cuer) for your 15 day Circle Hawaii Cruise. We hope you have a good time, but remember, there WILL still be a club dance here on April 10th, the Daffodil Thrill with Gordy Oseth calling and Nancy Mouser cueing.

It’s not too early to be thinking about attending our Route 66 Spring Jubilee on April 23rd & 24th! This year our theme again is Route 66 (the Mother Road) since it is being held the same weekend as the big Route 66 Fun Run. Due to this, if you’re planning to come and stay in one of our motels, early reservations are encouraged. Our caller this year is Lee Hailey (Glendale, AZ) and our cuer is Barbara and Ernie Lopez (Prescott, AZ). Free dry camping is available on-site again this year. The flyer is at http://www.mikewildercalling.com/04-23-10.pdf. The second page of the flyer contains telephone numbers for reservations. Remember, early registration can save you some money!

Please note that our dances and classes have permanently moved to the Adult Center at 1776 Airway Road in Kingman and that our dance times are now 7-9:30 pm MST (AZ) with no pre-rounds. We continue having two rounds between tips.
